Trailers
The
name Talbert is synonymous with heavy haul trailers. Manufactured
in Renssalaer, IN since 1957, they are probably best know for their innovative
'Hydroneck' - non-ground bearing, hydraulically removable gooseneck, which
allows the hauler to adjust the height of the deck for optimal road clearance,
or raise the deck height and clearance to move over obstacles like railroad
tracks and curbs.
Talbert introduced to the trailer industry:
- the first removable gooseneck
- the first non-ground engaging hydraulic removable gooseneck
- the first use of high strength, lightweight T-1 steel
- the first design and incorporation of air ride suspension systems
- the first trailers to use self-steering axles.
