Komatsu introduces the new D51EX/PX-24 and PC170LC-11
March 08, 2017

Komatsu America Corp., a leading global heavy equipment manufacturer, introduced the new D51EX/PX-24 crawler dozer and the PC170LC-11 hydraulic excavator at the CONEXPO-CONAGG 2017 tradeshow.

Among the most versatile of all the Komatsu dozers, the D51EX/PX-24 features an updated, Tier 4 Final engine, and an electronically-controlled hydrostatic transmission.  These two features provide up to 13 percent less fuel consumption than the prior model, and exceptional maneuverability, respectively.  Also, the new PX model, high-capacity blade with wear-resistant moldboard, can increase production by 15 percent, compared to the previous model. Additionally, the Standard Parallel Link Undercarriage System (PLUS) offers up to double the wear life, and up to 40 percent less maintenance expense, compared to standard undercarriage designs.

Featuring a 121 net horsepower, EPA Tier 4 Final, SAA4D107E-3 engine, the new PC170LC-11 is a versatile, all-purpose construction machine that offers an enhanced power mode for up to six percent more productivity.  “Just spend a day with the new PC170LC-11 – you’ll be pleasantly surprised by its capability and comfort,” said Andrew Earing, product manager, Komatsu America. “This machine has power beyond its size, yet is light enough to be transported on a 40,000 lb. tag trailer. From digging basement foundations, to larger municipality work, this machine has a wide range of versatility,” Earing said.  Another operator-friendly enhancement is the various centralized engine checkpoints, providing easy access to engine oil and filter, the drain valve, fuel drain valve and water separator drain valve.

Both machines, whether rented, leased or purchased, is covered by the Komatsu CARE® program for the first three years or 2000 hours, whichever comes first. Komatsu CARE® includes scheduled factory maintenance, a 50-point inspection at each service and two complimentary Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) maintenance services and DEF tank flushes in the first five years.

Kubota unveils KX033-4 compact excavator at World of Concrete
January 24, 2017

Kubota Tractor Corporation announces the KX033-4 compact excavator, the newest member of the popular KX series. Designed for efficiency, built for stability and created for comfort, the KX033-4 delivers Kubota power and style to the 3-ton class. The KX033-4 now shares many of the standard features that Kubota’s larger class machines have been known for. A larger cab, dash-controlled presets for auxiliary circuits and a standard hydraulic diverter valve are a few examples of the new features.

Powered by a 24.8-gross-horsepower direct injection Kubota Tier 4 Final engine, the machine has adjustable hydraulics that allow the operator to program up to five different oil flow rates, controlled from a digital control panel. The engine rpms may be set to automatically idle when the control levels are in neutral for more than four seconds, giving the unit increased fuel efficiency and lower noise. The conventional-tail-swing KX033-4 has a dig depth of 10 feet 6 inches, and replaces the KX91-3.

The new D85EXi/PXi-18 iMC crawler dozer

The new 264 HP D85EXi/PXi-18 crawler dozer is the smart choice for any machine owner looking for intelligence and efficiency beyond what is typically available in machine control systems.  Eliminating the need to install and remove blade-mounted sensors each day not only saves on machine and operator wear and tear, it converts potential downtime into more time spent running the machine.

The D85EXi/PXi-18 is covered by the Komatsu CARE® program for the first three years or 2,000 hours.  Komatsu CARE® includes scheduled factory maintenance, a 50-point inspection at each service and two complimentary Komatsu Diesel Particulate Filter exchanges and DEF tank flushes in the first five years.

For more information please click here.

The new D61EXi/PXi-24 iMC crawler dozer

The new D61EXi/PXi-24 builds on the successful, full line-up of intelligent Machine Control dozers offered by Komatsu.  Featuring a 6.8 liter, 168 horsepower, SAA6D107E-3, EPA Tier 4 Final emissions certified engine, the D61EXi/PXi-24 is environmentally friendly and provides high level of performance, while reducing fuel consumption and operating costs.

The D61EXi/PXi-24 intelligent Machine Control system allows automated operation from heavy dozing to fine grading, achieving up to 8% greater efficiency in moving material, based on start-to-finish grade testing of typical aftermarket machine control systems.  The lack of blade mounted sensors and components mean there is no need for operators climb on the blade to install/remove GNSS antennas, no coiled cables to snag, and no electrical connections to slow the start and end of every shift.

The new D155AXi-8 Radio Control dozer

The D155AXi-8 RC dozer is unique among radio control dozers thanks to the enhanced "intelligence" that automates operation from heavy dozing to fine grading to efficiently doze material.  The D155AXi-8 RC has the ability to sense and control blade load, optimize the start of the cut, and minimize track slip.

Powered by a 354 HP Komatsu SAA6D140E-7, Tier 4 Final emissions certified engine, the D155AXi-8 emits 80% les nitrogen oxides (NOx) than its Tier 4 interim predecessor.  The variable geometry, turbocharged and after cooled, 15.24 liter diesel engine features Komatsu Diesel Particulate Filter (KDPF) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems achieves fluid-neutral fuel economy.

The patented SIGMADOZER blade, designed to dig and roll up more soil at the blade's center, holds more material, reduces digging resistance and dozes up to 15% more soil while using less power, compared to a typical semi-u blade.

Takeuchi Introduces the TL12V2: Company’s First Vertical Lift Track Loader Features New Cab
January 26, 2016

Takeuchi Introduces the TL12V2:  Company's First Vertical Lift Track Loader

Takeuchi has introduced the all new TL12V2 track loader, the first vertical lift model in their lineup and the largest vertical lift track loader in the industry.  The TL12V2 has many new and exciting features that enhance performance, durability, and serviceability.  These features provide better stability, visibility, reduced vibration, increased lift height, and complete comfort for the operator.

The loader is powered by a Kubota 3.8L diesel engine that is US EPA Tier 4 Final emission compliant and produces 111.3 horsepower and 284 ft-lbs of torque.

The new track loader vertical arrangement delivers 45-percent greater operating capacity over the current TL12 radial and delivers exceptional load and carry performance.  The vertical lift arm design provides outstanding reach, increased lift height and remarkable stability.

Takeuchi lowered the boom arm cross member on the TL12V2 for greater visibility, efficiency and performance on the job. The design of the rear cross member also provides optimum visibility to the rear of the machine.  Additionally, the operator’s station has been completely revamped with a wider cabin for exceptional comfort and accessibility.  A new 5.7-inch color multi-informational display keeps the operator informed, while the precision pilot controls and a new Active Power Control system provide impressive control of the machine.

The TL12V2 now features a quiet track design for reduced noise and vibration while operating with a new tread pattern.  The tread pattern produces greater flotation minimizing ground disturbance, and a new contact pad between the roller and track enhances ride quality and reduces vibration. Furthermore, the undercarriage on the TL12V2 has been lengthened for greater stability and improved ride quality.
