Were they ever! Attendance was the highest since the first year the show came to Guernsey County, back in 2006. Thank you for your participation. Columbus Equipment Company team members working our exhibit were extremely busy meeting with existing and new customers. Other exhibitors reported the show was successful for them, too. Total attendance was 11,987, up more than 2,000 from last year, when poor weather kept some people away, noted Gayla Fleming, event manager for the Ohio Forestry Association. Gorgeous weather helped this year’s attendance, she said, but the overall quality of the show is the real draw. “We have good quality exhibitors and a lot of things to entertain the public— from various seminars geared to land owners to the lumberjack competition for families and kids. Our exhibitors are great equipment dealers who bring the trade in.” By the numbers, The 2016 Paul Bunyan show had: ∙ 146 exhibiting companies ∙ 24 hours of educational presentations ∙ 819 exhibiting personnel ∙ 225 trade buyers, industry volunteers, speakers and competitors ∙ 177 students (including two FFA groups, Power Equipment Technology students and advanced woodworking students) ∙ 208 booths/lots “The Ohio Forestry Association could not be happier with the turnout for the 2016 event. We had several new exhibitors this year and attendance was the highest that it has been in the last ten years. OFA is excited about the future of the show and we are looking forward to seeing continued growth over the coming years,” Fleming said. Jeff Richards, General Manager, Columbus Equipment Company, was equally enthusiastic in a congratulatory note to the OFA. “Congratulations on an amazing Paul Bunyan Show! We couldn’t be happier with the turnout and the high quality of interest in our equipment. I hope the show was as successful for you and the OFA as it was for us.” “OFA is excited about the future of the show and we are looking forward to seeing continued growth over the coming years.” Gayla Fleming; Event Manager, Ohio Forestry Association 2016 Paul Bunyan Show: GLORIOUS WEATHER, QUALITY EXHIBITORS, ATTRACT HUGE CROWDS For three days in October, equipment hummed, lumberjacks enthralled and concession stands were inundated at The 2016 Paul Bunyan Show.
